Dean's Message

The School of Engineering of Bangkok University was founded in 1993 with a strong commitment to offer an excellence in transferring technology to our students. Our academic programs are offered by outstanding experienced faculties. The School of Engineering also encourages faculties and students to serve the Thai community through its research and development associated with the technology demands of our nation. Our school has visions and missions to prepare our graduates:
To fulfill with knowledge, skill and logical thinking
To maintain career skills through life-long learning
To become successful in their career path
To live with self -sufficiency in the world of science and technology competitions.

With the use of modern engineering tools and information technologies, the graduates from our school are the tomorrow's engineers who are prepared with knowledge in both theory and practical expertise. Bangkok University provides its students with one of the best information technology and knowledge based systems in Thailand. To enhance the learning process of our students, the Surat Osathanugrah Library is equipped with advanced technologies, up-to-date textbooks, collections of international journals and multimedia systems.

Bangkok University realized the necessity of transferring Robotic technologies to our students. In October 2004, the Bangkok University Robotics Laboratory (BURL) was founded by the funding of the Research Institute of Bangkok University (RIBU). BURL is equipped with instruments, software and research facilities to support the learning process of our students and to enhance the advanced research of our faculty members. The missions of this laboratory are:

To encourage students to have experience and skill in high technology
To prepare our students to attend national and international robotic competitions
To present our innovation, research and development to the Thai community.
BURL has research and international cooperation with Nagaoka University of Technology from Japan to exchange robotic technologies among faculties, researchers, and students.

With the increasing demand of engineers who have also a skill in business administration, the School of Engineering has the inspiration to educate a new generation of engineers with modern knowledge in an expansive intellectual environment; we have initiated several new multidisciplinary studies. Our reno

wned program is a multidisciplinary study which allows students who are interested in more than one field of study to obtain a Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) in one academic year. The multidisciplinary study can be accomplished by drawing courses from some other areas, such as an engineering program along with business administration, management, marketing, finance and entrepreneurship for small and medium enterprises.

In our School of Engineering, every step of the growth responds to the technology demand of our society. For our country, we promise to provide engineering graduates with knowledge who commit themselves to the highest ethical and professional standards of conduct.
